Alliance between SARIA and Daka

Ringsted/Selm, 16.12.2011. The SARIA Group and Daka Group have entered into an agreement in order to join forces to boost their activities in the processing of animal by-products. This means that during the first half year of 2012, SARIA will acquire a stake of 51% in Daka. Some months ago, a “Heads of Agreement” was signed. Now, a final agreement on the transaction has been signed by Daka and SARIA. This final agreement, however, is awaiting the approval by the competition authorities.

Alliance between SARIA and Daka planned

2011-04-11, Selm/Ringsted. The SARIA Group and Daka Group are planning to join forces to boost their activities in the processing of animal by-products. The management of the two groups signed an agreement yesterday under which SARIA will acquire a stake of 51% in Daka in mid-2011, subject to approval by Daka’s members and the competition authorities.

The official openning of Daka Biodiesel a.m.b.a.'s new plant in Løsning on Monday 31 March 2008 at 11.00

Following several years' of preparatory work and construction, we are finally ready to open Denmark's first 2nd generation biodiesel plant. We think the end result is pretty impressive, and we look forward to presenting it to the authorities in Denmark and to our collaboration partners in general.

Biodiesel from animal fat given stamp of approval

It is possible to convert waste/by-products into a competitive biofuel with a good environmental profile – that is one of the key conclusions of a new life cycle analysis (LCA) conducted by the Institute for Product Development at the Technical University of Denmark.

New innovation consortium – Waste to Value

Daka is involved in a new innovation consortium which is looking at the production of second generation biodiesel using waste and by-products. Read more about the consortium at www.waste2value.dk.

In connection with the press conference held on 27 February 2007, Daka published a number of press releases and background material regarding the company’s biodiesel. We see the consortium as an important platform for the further development and application of second generation biodiesel.

The first structural element of the new biodiesel plant was put in place on 14 February 2007, and construction work has progressed rapidly since.

Press release on Biodiesel, 19 June 2006

After careful consideration, Daka a.m.b.a. has decided to establish a production of biodiesel made from animal fat. This will help to meet EU targets for an increased use of biofuels in the transport sector. The decision has been made before the necessary framework conditions governing sales to the Danish market have been put into place.
